Perfect colors!, December 19, 2010 By Papagena (Rhode Island) - See all my reviews Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Wilton Hello Kitty Icing Color Set (Kitchen) My daughter is obsessed with Hello Kitty so I bought the Wilton cake pan for her birthday cake earlier this year. I bought this color pack to decorate it and as usual, Wilton did not disappoint! The colors are vibrant and spot on. However, a little goes a LONG WAY. I poked the tip of a paring knife in the color and then added it to my icing, and it was enough to color quite a lot. So, start off light when it comes to the color (especially the dark ones, don't want unnecessary staining); you can always add more!

Waste of money, March 31, 2012 Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Wilton Hello Kitty Icing Color Set (Kitchen) The hello kitty cake doesn't really need anything except red food coloring for the frosting and you can get small tubes of black colored frosting for the outlines and whiskers. The cake I made turned out great and I never opened the color kit.

It was my first time making the cake with the hello kitty pan... and first time ever icing something but it came out great!! The colors are the true hello kitty colors and they come with instructions on the amount of dye needed for a set amount of icing. I would recommend also purchasing piping bags. We had to make piping bags out of ziploc bags and straws that eventually spilled over.
